Dr Robert N Moles "A state of Injustice" 2004

295pp including index 8pp, table of contents, footnotes and preface by Professor Derrick Pounder, Dundee University. Published by Lothian, Melbourne 2004

This book examines a number of high profile South Australian criminal cases from the past 30 years where forensic investigations were later found to be flawed. These serious errors may have led on one hand to innocent persons being convicted for crimes they did not commit; and on the other hand guilty persons may well have escaped prosecution.

The book looks at the reasons why these errors occurred, examines the cases, and discusses the issues involved, and most importantly looks at remedies to prevent these sorts of errors occurring in the future and examines processes for dealing with cases where miscarriages of justice may have occurred.
