List of Australian, UK and USA miscarriage of justice cases On 9 January 2007 ABC News reported “Prosecution waiting on autopsy report in murder case”. An Adelaide court has been told that prosecutors still have not received the final autopsy results for a murder case almost six months after the victim died. Thirty-three-year-old Gary Beaumont's body was found on the back seat of a car at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in June last year. A 46-year-old Birkenhead man and 38-year-old Evanston woman are charged with his murder and they faced the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today. The prosecutor asked for an adjournment, saying she is still waiting for the final autopsy report and has not been told when it will be ready. The magistrate adjourned the case until early next month when he will decide whether to lift a suppression on the identities of the charged pair.
