Dear sir,
Mr Chester Porter QC has complained of deplorable lack of forensic standards. A meeting of senior forensic scientists from throughout Australia and from New Zealand, convened by the SA Director of Forensic Science on August 21 1986, agreed to form an association with the objective inter alia, to promote encourage and maintain the highest standards of practice in the field of forensic laboratory services. The people of SA can rest assured that “deplorable standards” do not apply in this State in 1987.
