22 June 2007 R v Keogh [2007] SASC 226 Judgment: Supreme Court of South Australia

Directions hearings took place on 20 March and 1 April 2007 before Chief Justice John Doyle. The matter is set down for a hearing by the Court of Appeal before Doyle CJ Bleby and Sulan JJ on 23 May.
The initial stage of the appeal is to secure leave to appeal. That is, to convince the Court of appeal that they have jurisdiction to either reopen Keogh's previous appeal, or to reconsider the conviction in the light of the claims being made viz that the conviction was obtained either by fraud, deceit or manifest error.
