He had been convicted of murder at the age of 14 and sentenced to be hanged. . December 2006 Simon MarshallHe received $2.3 million from the Quebec Government. He had been imprisoned for 6 years for sexual assault. December 2006 Randy DrukenHe received $2.1 million from the Newfoundland Government. He had been imprisoned for 6 years for murder. October 2006 Steven KaminskiHe was aged 24. He received $2.2 million from the Federal Government (RCMP). He had been imprisoned for 7 years for sexual assault. This was a civil litigation settlement. Gordon Folland 2006He was involved with a settlement from the Ontario Government. He had been sentenced for sexual assault. The settlement resulted from civil litigation. Greg Parsons September 2005He received $1.3 million from the Newfoundland Government. In March 2002 he had been awarded $650,000. He had served 68 days for the murder of his mother. This result followed upon an Inquiry and civil litigation. Clayton Johnson 2004He received $2.5 m. incl. $500k from the Nova Scotia Government. He had served 5 years for the murder of his wife. Herman Kaglik 2001He was aged 44 and he received $1.1million from the Federal Government. He served 4 years for rape. He had been in daily prison fights and became divorced. Michael McTaggert December 2000He received $380,000 from the Ontario Government. He had served 20 months for robbery. The payment resulted from the Supreme Court Judgement. David Milgaard 1999He received $10 million from the Saskatchewan Government. He had served 23 years for murder. This was a negotiated civil litigation settlement. 1997 Guy Paul MorinHe received $1.25 million from the Ontario Government. He had been 17 in 1992. He had served 15 months for murder. 1993 Richard NorrisHe received $507,000 from the Ontario Government. He had served 8 months and 10 days for sexual assault. The settlement resulted from civil litigation. 1990 Donald Marshall Jr.He received $1.6 million from the Nova Scotia Government. He had served 11 years. He was exonerated by the Hickman Commission in 1989. 1986 Wilfred TruscottHe received $36,000 from the Alberta Government. He had served 18 months for rape. Thomas SophonowHe received $2.6 million (including interest) from the Manitoba Government. He had served 45 months for murder. There had been an Inquiry conducted by Commissioner Cory J. Peter FrumusaHe served 8 years for murder and obtained a settlement through civil litigation. Jason DixHe received $765,000 from the Alberta Government. He had served 22 months for murder. This was a court award for malicious prosecution. Gary Staplesdetails to follow Benoit ProulxHe received $1.1 million from the Quebec Government for the murder of his girlfriend.
